R.P.I. Fieldhouse. Not bad, not bad. Actually the whole show kind of smokes

I posted this a while back -

I like the DP18 version best though.

1/22/78 also fine, as are a number of the 1977 versions (4/29, 5/7, 5/22, 6/9, 10/16, 11/1, and 11/6).

I'd go with the 78's ......

I agree that some of the earlier ones are huge but I also think that some of the interplay between brent and jerry brought this song to the next level...also on the earlier ones I have to say that donna was a definite plus!

Hi ghost o ghost,

If there is indeed a higher level than 1978, I will be very happy. Which version do you suggest?

1985-06-28 - Hershey Park Stadium. I keep going back to this show, but a good one to close out the first set. After Bird Song and Comes A Time. Splashing in the puddles dancing is what I remember.

Ah crap, second set opener...songs got scrambled on the computerlater, sorry, still agood version...

I would go with northstars and D&M suggestions
FO SHO

and let me try ---One From The Vault or DP3
or
5-7-77 (REALLY? NOooooooooooooooooo....)
1-15-78 SF (San Fran)
9-10-83 SF (Santa Fe-personal fav)
9-15-87 SF (kidding...actually MSG)
7-17-89 Alpine
9-25-91 Baaaston, MA

and Im sorry for lack of date, but DIX PIX 32
has an inspirational Music>Sugaree>Music opener
that is The Poop!

They're a band beyond description,
like Jehovah's (Jo Mamas) favorite choir

Ah finally fuck, anyway.. I love the MNS as much as anyone. This is a very hot show with a about as good early 80's first set as you are going to get. The S>F second set opener will rock your socks off.

The MNS>SUGAREE>MNS is from Alpine Valley. The dusty old tape I have says 8/7/82. That explains why I could not find it at archive.

I am in total agreement with CP The Hershey MNS might be my favorite, this is what it is all about....

always enjoyed 9/20/88...thick sounding guitars and bobby and jerry seem to be telepathic in the closing jam
